In The Zone

The objective for In the Zone is to score mobile goals and yellow cones using different techniques. A mobile goal scored in front of a thin PVC pipe, the Starting Bar, or touching it is worth 5 points. The mobile goal (red or blue cone)scored beyond it is worth ten points and the mobile goal scored beyond the thick PVC pipe \ is worth twenty points. Each yellow cone scored on top of a mobile or stationary goal is worth two points. There is a 15 second autonomous period for the robot to follow its program and score. The alliance team with the most points after this period gets 10 bonus points. Each robot starts in their designated area at the beginning of the autonomous period. Once the autonomous period is finished and the referees record the number of points, Driver Control begins. Robots can’t enter the opponent’s ten and twenty point scoring zones at any time. If teams park their robot on their designated tiles at the end of the match, they get two points.
