2019 IPA VEX VRC Tournament
The 2019 IPA VEX Tournament took place at Island Pacific Academy on September 28th. Teams from all around the island participated in this event to get a chance to go to States.
Team 394B Highlands Intermediate won 2 out of 7 matches in their first tournament of the season. They made it to the quarterfinals before being beaten by the #1 seed. Team, 394A Highlands Intermediate won 3 out of 7 matches and partnered with 4142A Pearl City High School during the elimination rounds. We made it to the semifinals but unfortunately, lost due to a disqualification. Our partner 4142A accidently hit the opposing alliance, 359A Hawaiian Kids and 4142B Pearl City High School’s stack in the protected zone, knocking down 1 cube. Due to this, we were disqualified. We did however win the “Create Award”. In the end, 359A and 4142B were the Tournament Champions and 359A also won the Excellence Award.
