The objective for Turning Point is to shoot flags using balls and to flip caps to your color using various techniques.   A cap scored with your color facing up on the ground is worth one point.  Caps scored to your color put on a post is worth two points each.  To score flags, you have to shoot them with balls to your color.  The top two flags on each of the three rows are worth 2 points each, while the bottom flags are worth one point each.  There is a 15 second autonomous period for the robot to follow its program and score.  The alliance team with the most points after this period gets 4 bonus points.  Each robot starts in their designated area at the beginning of the autonomous period.  Once the autonomous period is finished and the referees record the number of points, Driver Control begins.  Robots can manipulate any scoring object in Turning Point meaning that no lead is safe.  If teams park their robot on the center platform, and can hold their position until the end of the match, they are awarded 6 points.  If they park on their designated alliance platforms at the end of the match, they get three points.
